The trailer is on the way, but nothing more for now
It was Sam Houser, co-founder of Rockstar, who took to Twitter to confirm Bloomberg’s statements by announcing that the company will celebrate its 25th anniversary with the upcoming publication of the trailer for GTA 6 . Finally, from the “ next Grand Thef Auto ”. This trailer will therefore be released during the month of December :
“ We are very happy to announce that at the beginning of December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We hope to be able to share these experiences with you all for many more years. »
All eyes are therefore on the Game Awards even if this track is not necessarily the most credible. Rockstar has never needed to get involved in an event like this and therefore doesn’t really need Geoff Keighley to highlight its next game (it’s more the presenter who would need this trailer). So we will rather bet on a separate event, centered on the game, which seems to be more likely.
Why now and in this form?
If we have discussed the substance of this announcement, we must also talk about its form. We didn’t expect Rockstar to just make this simple tweet today. A logo or a first image were hoped for, but as usual, Rockstar is still playing with the nerves of its community.
We can nevertheless recall that the fiscal balance sheet for the last quarter of Take-Two (which owns Rockstar) will take place in the coming hours . This tweet therefore aims to make things official given that the GTA 6 subject will inevitably be discussed, particularly for the upcoming forecasts for the next fiscal year. It is therefore better to announce to the public that a trailer is coming soon rather than discovering it in a sad quarterly balance sheet report. And then, it’s a way like any other to increase the price of shares without making too much effort.
